Farm fresh goodness in Chandler
South Chandler continues to impress with each new addition, whether a new home community, local brewery, or restaurant. One restaurant added at the start of the Chandler restaurant scene refresh in 2011 that still stands out and sets the standard for the rest of the area is BLD, short for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Located at the northwest corner of Dobson and Germann Roads, BLD serves “farm-fresh, from-scratch” foods in a light and bright atmosphere that’s hard to leave. Luckily, their extensive menu offering every meal of the day means you don’t have to!
When BLD says they’re open all day, they mean it. From 7 am-9 pm, they cook up a mix of healthy and hearty dishes, which you can enjoy in their gorgeous space or take on the go from their drive-thru. It’s honestly difficult to play favorites since this is a spot that fits anyone’s tastes, but some of ours include:
- Breakfast: Short rib eggs benedict, Dutch apple pancake, The Gobbler Omelet
- Lunch: BLT (on bacon focaccia), Chorizo Fries, Power House salad
- Dinner: Fish tacos, Buttermilk fried chicken, Apple-infused pork chop
If those extensive options aren’t enough to entice you to get in the car and visit right now, they also have mouth-watering BBQ options. The Texas-style beef brisket sandwich, smoked sausage, and BBQ chicken all pair well with any of the sides offered on their menu, including potato salad, house-made chips, and onion rings.
We recommend visiting as soon as possible, especially during football season. This time of year, the menu includes classic tailgate beverages like PBR cans and the best tailgate food, including “wings & rings,” miniature hot dogs, and mozzarella bites.
